Flavorful BBQ Ribs Recipe: Step-by-Step Guide with Poppamies BBQ Rub and Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of pork baby back ribs
  • Poppamies BBQ Rub (choose your preferred flavor)
  • Poppamies BBQ Sauce (choose your preferred flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to around 225-250°F (107-121°C). You'll be using indirect heat for this recipe.

  2. Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back of each rack. This can be done by gently loosening the membrane with a butter knife and then pulling it off with a paper towel for better grip.

  3. Season the ribs generously with Poppamies BBQ Rub. Make sure to coat both sides evenly and massage the rub into the meat. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Place the ribs on the grill or smoker, bone-side down. Close the lid and let them cook for about 3-4 hours. During this time, maintain a steady temperature and add wood chips or chunks for smoke if desired.

  5. After the initial cooking period, check the tenderness of the ribs. They should have a nice bark and the meat should start to pull away from the bones. At this point, it's time to glaze them with Poppamies BBQ Sauce.

  6. Brush a generous amount of Poppamies BBQ Sauce onto the ribs, covering them completely. Close the lid and let them cook for an additional 30 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize and create a sticky glaze.

  7. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick or a probe between the ribs. If it slides in easily and the meat is tender, your ribs are ready. If not, continue cooking for a bit longer and recheck.

  8. Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill or smoker and let them rest for a few minutes. This will help the juices redistribute and the meat to become even more tender.

  9. Slice the racks into individual ribs and serve hot. Optionally, you can brush on some additional Poppamies BBQ Sauce as a finishing touch.

Enjoy your delicious Poppamies BBQ ribs!

Note: Cooking times may vary depending on your grill or smoker, so it's essential to monitor the temperature and the tenderness of the ribs throughout the process.
